My Brother's 26th: A North Park Celebration

This is in continuation of the celebration of my brother's birthday. Held on the first Sunday of September albeit his big day was on the 30th of August. Originally, We plan to celebrate it by visiting Kamay ni Hesus in Quezon but it did not push through because the healing mass, which was our main purpose, is scheduled only during Wednesdays and Saturdays. So, we'll leave it up to some other time. At first, we just want to stay at the house 'coz my bro don't feel like going anywhere without my younger brother. Who at that time is at Manila, he has classes even on a Sunday, and the rest of us is in Laguna. Yep! We are the trios and I am the eldest. And yes I am the eldest and the only girl aside from my mom. Anyway, my mom, having a happy feet meaning she can't just stay at one place, just like me or I am just like her, asked us if we don't have real plans on that lazy Sunday morning. My brother and I was like we can just have pizza delivered or we can just go to Nuvali or we don't really have plans at all. Then my mom told us to get ready, we're going to Manila, fetch my brother and have dinner. The rest is history...

I get that every time there's an occasion we either have Chinese or Japanese cuisine, so it's no biggie that we end up with another Chinese restaurant. Our lucky pick, North Park at Trinoma. It's one of my brother's fave and his go-to-place after working on a graveyard shift. North Park has been around for a long time but nevertheless it is my first time to dine here.

The place was fully packed when we arrived good thing we only waited for few minutes before we were seated. The servers were all over the place doing there thing. But we didn't have to wait that long for us to be assisted. Since it's my brothers big day and he's familiar with the menu we let him choose what to order. The thing that caught my attention is the waiter who assisted us. He have a superb memory he didn't even bother to jot down what we ordered. Clap! Clap! I cannot do that honestly. Har!

Their menu that also serve as our placemat

Crab Meat Fried Rice

The Crab Meat Fried Rice ~ I love it! You can really see strands of crab meat spread generously all over. The taste compliments everything. It really taste like crab unlike the others that I had.

Brocolli with Oyster Sauce
For something healthy and green and one of my bro's always choice, Brocolli Flower with Oyster Sauce. It was okay just like what we always had at home. Nothing really extraordinary.

Roast Combination Platter

Since we wanted to try a lil bit of everything we have for our main dish the Roast Combination Platter. It's a combination of steamed white chicken, soy sauce chicken, bbq pork asado and chinese sausage or what we know as chorizo and a portion of century egg wedges everything on that plate was just so-so. Even their pork asado did not stand out. But I do love their chorizo.

Ultimate Noodles

Pork Rib and Fresh Prawn Dumplings

North Park is known for their noodles and dumplings. So we ordered two, the Ultimate Noodles and the Pork Rib and Fresh Prawn Dumplings. Ultimate noodles equal to ultimate serving equals ultimate toppings. Yep! Pretty much overloaded. It has everything on it from mushrooms, beef and tendons to prawn dumplings and other that I don't know what. I like that the prawns are big and not overdone. The beef tendons just melt into your mouth. The taste is like any other noodles that I've tried. It's good and filling. It is a meal itself. That also goes for their Pork Rib and Fresh Prawn Dumpling Noodles.

What I love about their noodles is that you can choose what type of noodles you want. I didn't even know there are types or maybe I'm not paying attention, but there is really.

We chose their hongkong and empress noodles since its their bestseller. Uhm. I really don't know the difference between the two other than the shape and that the empress noodles is a lot finer but taste wise its the same for me. Although, I would really love to go back and try their herb noodle. *wink

There's a lot in their menu that I really wanted to try and sound promising. North Park offers an affordable Chinese cuisine in which you could never go wrong taste wise and price wise. I think you would be seeing me posting a lot of North Park in the near future. HeeHee.
